Survey Crew Chief
Watson Engineering a civil, structural, geotechnical engineering and surveying firm located in Cedar City, UT is looking to fill the position of Survey Crew Chief. In this position, you will work closely with our design team and contractors to help make our client's dreams become realities. Our company works in multiple sectors: residential, commercial, land survey, and land development.
Who we do want: An individual who enjoys going to construction sites to see the progress that has been made since your last visit, as well as one who loves to be the first on the ground for a new project just like Neil Armstrong was the first to step foot on his project site. We all know engineers like to talk with themselves, however, we are looking for someone who is not afraid to communicate with others. We need someone who is comfortable working with others, self-motivated, ready to work hard, and can contribute ideas to create an ever-improving experience for our clients. The successful person in this role is one who loves to hustle and create lasting relationships. Some of the projects may start as a sketch on a napkin while others are years in the making. Responsibilities
Work closely with and incorporate feedback from engineers, builders, designers, and occasionally homeowners.
Help manage projects from start to finish, staying proactive throughout the project and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced crew chief with industry knowledge, but we are also open to someone who is eager to get more experience and training in the industry.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble GPS, Trimble Robotics, and know-how to generate surface models for grading, topography, and profiles.
Communicates well with both clients and team.
A growth mindset with a love for learning.
