Field Technician
Watson Engineering, a full-service engineering firm located in Cedar City, UT, is looking for a qualified Field Technician who loves working in the dirt and interacting with people. We put both in the description because not everyone loves working with both, and we respect that.
The ideal candidate will possess
A willingness to listen to clients, teach and help our clients be successful with their projects. We don't need anyone looking to be "right". This position is often the face of our company out in the field, working with contractors to get passing results for their projects.
A willingness to learn. We can train all aspects of this position. We are looking for someone that knows how to hustle, has a great attitude, and is dependable.
Responsibilities
Work with clients to get passing tests for compaction, concrete, asphalt, etc.
Identify soil types and conditions, and provide quality and reliable test results.
Be very responsive with staff and clients by phone/text.
Be willing to go the extra mile to exceed client expectations.
Willing to use field checklists and complete all documentation.
When not running tests in the field, help with lab testing.
Qualifications
Need to be able to lift 60 lbs. easily, and work outdoors.
Construction experience is a plus.
Inspection experience a plus
