Meet the Team: Mason Watson

Although relatively new to Watson Engineering Company (Watson), Mason Watson, Field Technician, is settling right in. He says a typical workday includes spending time in the soils lab testing the soil or working on job sites conducting field testing.

A force of positive energy, Mason says he has loved all the jobs he has worked on. A favorite was the Talon Pointe and Sage Springs Subdivisions project. Completing both the compaction field and concrete testing, he learned a lot and enjoyed the hands-on experience.

A people person, Mason is quick to respond about what he likes most about his job. “I love being able to meet new people on the job sites and being the means to developing a relationship between Watson and the other contractors. I also love developing personal relationships with those I serve. But, most of all, I have to say I love the people I work with.”

Weighing in on his time thus far at Watson, Mason said that Tim Watson is an excellent leader, which is evident at all levels of the organization. “Tim teaches us the value of what we do—that those we serve help us put food on our tables—and that is why we must be precise with our services and communicate well.” Mason said that although the team takes the services they provide and client satisfaction very seriously, Watson’s leadership makes coming to work fun and enjoyable.

Away from work, you can find Mason admiring trucks, cars, motorcycles, off-road and recreational vehicles, and anything with a loud V8 engine. Mason also plays the guitar and loves swing dancing with his wife.
