Meet the Team: Wyatt Shurtz

Relatively new to the Watson Engineering Company team, Wyatt’s typical workday includes testing materials for various jobs—particularly throughout Iron County, Utah. As a Field Technician, his job primarily consists of using the nuclear moisture density gauge to determine compaction, and he really enjoys helping to ensure the buildings and homes of Southern Utah have a solid foundation. Wyatt’s favorite project so far is a retaining wall that is currently being built. He shared, “I have been testing the materials used to fill the wall and it is rewarding to see something you have worked on come to life.”

In addition to the reward of contributing to the foundational surfaces on which Watson projects are built, Wyatt thoroughly enjoys being a Watson team member. “Watson does an excellent job of going above and beyond for every client; big or small,” said Wyatt. We are happy to have someone like Wyatt on our team that is equally passionate about the important projects Watson works on for our valued clients.

DID YOU KNOW?

When Wyatt is not testing materials on a job site, you can find him hard at work at the Cedar City Fire Department. Way to go, Wyatt—your work ethic and dedication is worthy of envy.
